About Your Therapist!

Hey There!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist born and raised in the south-ward of Newark, NJ, with deep roots in both Newark and Bainbridge, GA. While Newark is home, I spent much of my childhood between the two. Those experiences shaped my worldview, my sense of community, and the way I connect with people from different backgrounds and walks of life.

My roots in Newark and the legacy of the spaces that shaped me continue to influence how I show up in the world and in the therapy room. I'm also a proud Malcolm X Shabazz High School alum - once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog.

I'm a mother to two beautiful children and a proud dog mom to my Boxer, Deuce. My favorite  color is orange, and outside of my work, I love learning, reading, and experiencing new things-but music will always have the closest place to my heart. It has been one of my greatest sources of grounding, expression, and healing throughout my life.

My passion is devoted to supporting women in motherhood, individuals, couples, and families in their emotional and relational wellness. I hold a particular commitment to serving women of color, women in motherhood, and first-generation professionals, while providing inclusive care to all clients seeking meaningful growth and healing. My work is rooted in a trauma-informed, relational, and culturally grounded approach that honors the lived experiences, identities, and systemic influences shaping each client’s story.

As a therapist, I value authenticity, connection, and warmth. I believe healing can exist alongside laughter, reflection, and creativity. I bring my full humanity into the therapeutic space—grounded, compassionate, and present—while holding space for yours.

Yours Truly,

Education

I hold a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Graduate Certificate in Systemic Couple & Family Therapy from Capella University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Clinically, I integrate Structural, Strategic, Bowenian, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Collaborative Language Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, the Nurtured Heart Approach, and trauma-informed interventions. This integrative style allows therapy to be flexible, personalized, and deeply effective.

Specialties

I specialize in supporting women navigating identity, stress, burnout, and self-worth; couples working to rebuild trust and communication; and families strengthening emotional safety and connection. I also provide support for trauma healing, anxiety, depression, and significant life transitions.

My practice is culturally sensitive, strengths-based, and deeply client-centered. My mission is to help you break generational patterns, reclaim confidence, and build a future where you thrive from a place of wholeness — not survival.

You deserve a space designed with your healing in mind - where restoration, safety and joy are possible.
